Alrighty, thanks for letting me know

Basically a BOG job is to make sure that the group is running efficiently and maintaining its mission goals, as well as planning for future developments. A BOG can be of any size, but I believe that Lance said that for us to fullfill nonprofit status we need three US citizens of legal age. BOGs use committees which report to the BOG, and otherwise delegate jobs to do.

1. Determining the organization's mission and purpose.
2. Selecting the chief executive.
3. Providing proper financial oversight.
4. Ensuring adequate resources.
5. Ensuring legal and ethical integrity and maintaining accountability.
6. Ensuring effective organizational planning.
7. Recruiting and orienting new board members and assessing the board's own performance.
8. Enhancing the organization's public standing.
9. Determining, monitoring and strengthening the organization's programs and services.
10. Supporting the chief executive and assessing his or her performance.

I just can't remember all that the position will entail.

Really? That makes me feel slightly better... I have friends who've been telling me I should retake the SAT to try and get above 2200 to increase my chances of getting into a better university. Thank you so much for the information! Do you have any idea what colleges are good for the biomedical sciences there?
