Hello guys, the chat on FF.net was so flooded with your enthusiasm I didn't have the energy to sort out it all and just came here. I believe someone said about transalting (there was even a list of translators there). I think we should move it here as well.
Though it might make sense to organise any translation efforts, otherwise we will have half a dozen different translations in the same language running around... That way same language translators might actually help each other.
Also, just wanted to say I can translate into Finnish and Swedish.

Hey MrE I'm not sure what language you're translating into, but for simple accents and the like for European languages there are key combos (or the character list) for both PC and Mac. I'm not sure what they are for PCs, but for a Mac I'm sure I know all of them, so if you need I can try and point you in the right direction.
If you're translating into Cyrillic characters or an Asian language I am really not sure... Maybe someone else has an idea out there?
I hope that was kind of helpful...

I'm going to be offering whatever services I can with the Spanish translation. I only have 3 years of high school Spanish under my belt, but my mother was a high school Spanish teacher for 25 years, so I can ask her for help. I'm sure I could be of help.

I signed up for translation too; Chinese. I've been taking/speaking Chinese since I was 5, so hopefully I don't screw anything up.

Erm, I assume this is for Mr. E? If you're using Windows XP/Vista, you can go to the control panel and look under languages. I think the icon is clock, language and region. Then you should go to change keyboard inputs. You can change the keyboard input there, which basically means you can add different languages to your keyboard. Then, you can look for Korean, or whatever language you wish to use, and add it. Korean is by the stroke and the sound it makes right? To form the character (from what I remember my friend tells me; but he's self-taught so I'm not sure). So I think what it means is that you can type the sound in, like if it sounds like ha, type ha, and they'll have a choice of the strokes/characters available that correspond to that sound? That's how I type for Chinese and Japanese anyway. You'll have a language bar at the bottom right of your screen, at your toolbar, or the language bar will be floating around somewhere on your screen. Click on it to change the language to Korean. You must have clicked on the place where you wanna type Korean in before changing the language.
I'm not sure for the Mac, but I remember using it to type Japanese before as well. I'll leave that to someone else so I won't screw you up :/
I'll be happy to help if you have any more problems; I've been typing in 3 different languages for a while. It's just that my Japanese really sucks, otherwise I'd have offered as well >.>
PS: PM me on FFN if you're really lost, I'll send you the screen shots or something.

@Chocobo, I'm sorry I really haven't noticed this thread as much. If you are willing to translate into Finnish and Swedish, that'd be great! Just message me and I'll add you to the list! Thanks for the support!
Also, just so everyone is up to speed, these are the languages that SEE will be translated into: Spanish, German, Chinese, and Korean.
Pending Languages: French, Finnish, and Swedish.
Requested Languages (No One Yet): Portuguese, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin), Romanian, Dutch, and Hindi. If anyone knows anyone who speaks those languages, please refer them here. Of course any other languages that we can translate into will be great, but these are the major ones I can list off the top of my head.
Thank you guys for all your support, and we'll have text to translate soon. Specifically, the petition, mission statement, legal statement, and then of course the contents of the site. We'll to translations bit by bit of course, and of course not everything I realize will be translated. So if anyone wants to write an essay in languages other than English for the translated sites, then feel free! Thanks again!

Can we get someone to do Russian as well? I don't speak it, and I've heard it's rather difficult. But it is a major language the I think we need to cover.
