Okay, so, I keep coming on here every day for about a month now, and it's basically dead. Since our last emergency meeting this place has been incredibly empty, and I fear that if we do not bounce back, our cause will be very near dead. I haven't been this excited about a project or a cause in a long time, and I am constantly ready to contribute in any way possible. But lately, I'm not quite sure how to do this. I have attempted to bring up topics on chat, but they constantly seem shadowed by topics that do not benefit our cause, however fun they may be. I have also attempted to get in contact with Lance, but have yet to hear back.
I understand that people are busy, and I respect that. I myself am in college at the moment and should probably be doing my assignments instead of sending this. But I feel this is too important to not post. I believe the best course of action would be for us to decide on a meeting date, and then proceed with that date no matter who can come. We need to rebuild and regroup and keep putting our new message out there. I've checked the petition and people are still signing with the idea of K/S in mind. I do not blame us for that, as we have put out the notice that we are no longer shipping any specific couples. I am wondering, however, if we ever sent out the email that explained our SEEboot. If people are still signing the petition with our old cause in mind, I'm assuming we haven't.
All I ask is that someone get back and explain the situation immediately. Nothing would make me sadder than to hear that we were dropping the cause because of a reason within in the SEE family. I'm willing to do whatever takes to help us bounce back, and I'm sure all of you are as well.
C'mon SEE, it's time to wake up and attempt to make our goal a reality! I'm tired of waiting to be proactive!

Mmm, I agree. It has been dead. :/ Not many people even bother with the chat. I know we're all settling into college, but we could try a little harder (I say "we" because I too am guilty of ignoring the forums).
Let's revive this place guys. I like what we're trying to do.

This Lindsay agrees with that Lindsay! I've stopped by here once and a while every so often since the emergency meeting, but it has been less and less because of the fact that I see nothing has been done. This is a good cause; a great cause. I think that it's important that we keep in mind that a lot of us do take this seriously.
Keep in mind that they're going to start making the next Trek film soon. The longer we wait around doing nothing, the less likely it'll be we get our message across. Is this something people actually care about? Are we the only ones?
In the last meeting, I remember Lance saying that he wants us to get serious. But really, we haven't. When are we really going to get serious about this? There are a lot more signatures to the petition. Obviously, people want this to happen. We need to do our part too and get our (pardon my French, but) shit together.
Don't take this as me being angry. I'm simply concerned that it's been about a month since we actually talked about doing something serious, and it was really more "talk" than "action."
-nods- I agree. But, what can we do without our webmaster?

I totally agree.
But I don't think there's much we can do until we are able to have another official meeting. :/
i.e.: WE NEED TO HAVE A MEETING NOW, PLEASE.
so um...yes. Lance needs to come back and...do all that leader-y stuff.

I'm in agreement, too. I'm guilty of neglecting this site since the start of college, but I'm definitely willing to work on and revive this project.
A meeting would be nice :)...

YES. Thank you Pirate. XD I've been trying to do this for about a week over in the writing forum. I completely agree that we need to keep going with our cause.
In fact, I'd be willing to step into Lance's shoes as best I can if we really feel we need a webmaster. I can't control anything on the site, obviously, but I have most of the notes from the last meeting and I feel I could direct another meeting fairly using Lance's examples.
*holds up hand and puts the other one over her heart* I solemnly swear I do NOT want to take over or anything like that. I just want to see this cause go where it should be going, and not stagnate. I'm the sort of person who needs to feel like we're making progress and I'll gladly step in if that's what it takes until Lance gets back. I'm fully devoted to this cause and I've still got a week left before school, so why not put it to good use? ^_^
I'll give it until tomorrow (September 3) for you guys to veto this if you want to, since I have to be away overnight for work. This is a collective decision, don't hesitate to tell me to stuff myself if you want to. XD I'll see you all tomorrow night and we'll see what's to be done.
Glad to see some of you back! =D *hugs all around*

Ok, so there are still people on here!
I've been kind of bad this week and have stopped checking the boards...but hello again all you wonderful people!
I will for sure look at the video treatment thing and get to work brainstorming, Kurry! (I haven't started school quite yet, so I still do have some time on my hands.)
I really, really want this to work and will stay devoted to our cause with all of you!
Also, I talked to Lance over facebook chat about 2 days ago, and he seems to still be around, albeit I guess not here per se. But as I told him, even though we've lost some of the informal community ties that brought us together, we still have our cause and our dedication to it, and back when these boards were more active, we had many eloquent, productive discussions about equality, the media, and our goals. So here's to that spirit continuing!

Ahh I see. Why has Lance stayed away. Did we do something to make him mad?

Well, maybe he thought we could continue on without him for a bit. Obviously, that's been proven wrong, but... I think that as soon as Lance gets back, someone should talk with him about setting up a chain of command whenever he has to leave again, so the forums don't go silent again. Also, people in said chain of command should probably say if they won't be on for a bit. Just a thought.

Hey people. ^_^ If anyone is going to be around tonight (Saturday) or tomorrow, for a large portion of the day I plan to be on the mIRC chat so that we can discuss where to go from here. So get on the chat, and let's get back to work! =D
I'm considering this an unofficial meeting, so if you miss this one it's fine. I'll post again on Monday with whatever has been decided.

*Wave*
This week has been furiously busy for me due to arranging my school schedule , which I did mention though I didn't post it to board--which I could have done (pardon for that). For my own part I haven't heard anything from Lance on my end just yet, and have been wondering when the meeting was to be rescheduled. I will send him an email, though and try to reconnect.

No, real life has just caught up with him, and I understand. But here's hoping he returns soon!
