I'm just starting college next month (for software engineering), so I dunno how active I'll be on the forums/chat once that starts, but I look forward to getting to know you guys and helping out in any way I can. I've had to deal with homophobia in the past (towards myself and towards my friends) and so this is a really personal issue for me and I think that what you guys are trying to do is really good. :)

I'm sorry you've had to deal with homophobia. I don't think it'll ever truly disappear, but I do think it will definitely dissipate.

Btw, do you know you're exactly 60 years younger than Nimoy? EXACTLY sixty years. I already told you once, but I thought I'd remind you again. :)

Engineering majors unite! :D

First semester or two is pretty tame, though the programming classes can be a frustrating time sink sometimes. When you have to spend hours combing for the missing {, it tends to get old reeeaaal fast. Though that might be me, since I don't have much patience for anything, haha.

@Pirate- Hehe, it actually made me really happy when I looked at Nimoy's wiki and saw we had the same birthday. I was like damn, our birth date is pretty awesome. xD You're right about homophobia though...there are always going to people out there who feel the need to hate on somebody :( I think the prevalence of homophobia will decrease a lot in the next few decades.

@Lindz- thanks for the friends request, yeah there are a lot of Lindse/ays here, I was looking at one of Pirate's threads and I was like wow! another one!

@Steam- I took two java classes in high school so I understand what you're saying xD hopefully it won't be too bad...a lot of kids had problems with it in my classes but it didn't happen to me too often.
