Hehe! For anyone in need of some comic relief. This would've made an awesome NuTrek movie, yes? :P
Y'know, I actually remember being almost positive that Kirk was going to be portrayed as bisexual in NuTrek before I saw it. Y'know, just sort of a throwaway scene like the dating network one in that article, or maybe academy!Kirk having a girlfriend/boyfriend that could change genders like that creature from STVI and him being totally cool with both genders, or idk, something before they just went on with the rest of the movie. I mean, I never thought in a million years that they'd do K/S, but Kirk as bisexual just made so much SENSE! For some reason I thought for sure that the writers & JJ would see it that way too.

That was horrible, I was laughing so hard I couldn't breathe! I was so, so crushed when I checked the date and realised how long ago April was, I thought it was talking about the second movie!

Haha, aww, sorry to get your hopes up. But srsly, Jar Jar Binks didn't give it away?

It did, once I realised there was a second page. I was convulsing on the floor after a couple of paragraphs, which made things like that a little hard to notice.

Heh. Just re-reading it again, and seriously, I want that movie, just for teh lulz! I wanna see Rundamentalist Blistian Sulu with his Boly Hible, I wanna hear Bones say “I bet it’s not just his blood that’s green”, and damnit, I want that polyester-eating virus! (although that network dating scene I really do want now, not just for teh lulz. It would have been so so SO perfect!)

I want Kirk and Spock in bed together, and I believe the article also mentioned a kiss?

wow that article is so funny...the fake interviews are beautiful...oh William Shatner's hair in TOS...you learn to love it.
On an unrelated note, when I was about 8 years old, I saw Star Wars: Episode one in theaters and thought Jar Jar Binks was about the funniest thing ever and went around imitating his speech patterns for a few days. I was such a weird kid.

I laughed so hard at everything (especially the second page) that tears escaped my eyes. Good times.

As a journalist and avid reader of newsprint (magazines mostly), I read the date first, so I knew what was up immediately. Even so, it was gut-bustingly hilarious. I thought Shatner's quote was particularly hilarious. I can just see him and Nimoy writing slash.

Well the girl who played the original Uhura (Michelle Nichols?) wrote K/S Slash, I believe. I read that somewhere on here last night. It made me so happy I was like :p

That is hilarious! Thanks for sharing that. XD
Ironically, Sulu, the character originally played by out actor George Takei, is now something called a “Rundamentalist Blistian” who quotes something called the “Boly Hible” and disapproves of Kirk’s polyamorous ways.
“One of things that’s so great about science fiction is that you can comment on contemporary issues, but do so in such a subtle way that it goes over many people’s heads,” Abrams said.

Oh. My. God. I'm crushed! Make it be real! ...Well, except the Jar-Jar Binks part. He annoys me.

I'd gladly accept Jar Jar if it meant K/S could be real.

I HATE JAR JAR WITH THE THE STRENGTH OF A THOUSANDS BURNING SUNS!
But love drives out hate, so K/S comes first. :)

What am I, the only person in the universe that actually liked Jar Jar in that movie? I was funny and he talked weird. He won me over.
